As I look at a project, I take into account the length and complexity of the material, the general condition of the manuscript, deadlines, availability, and other factors. We then agree on either an hourly rate or a project fee.  My base rate for relatively clean, low-to-moderate-complexity material is $40 per hour. Rates increase with the complexity of the material and the condition of the manuscript.

Same-day or next-day service is sometimes possible.
