I hold a BA in Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, where I studied writing for print and broadcast.

After graduation, I spent five years with a major HR consulting firm, creating employee communications and editing complex consulting reports. I also designed and led in-house workshops for consultants on writing and self-editing. The firm had a rigorous editorial training program, which helped me further hone my editing skills.

Following that, I wrote successful grant proposals for numerous K-6 educational and literacy nonprofits.

As a freelancer, I have edited a variety of materials from HR materials to beer labels (yes, really!).
